Are you that caring and supportive person who is there to help everyone at a moment's notice? Do your family members, friends and co-workers turn to you for help and advice, time and time again? Do you sometimes feel that others think you have life all figured out and under control so you would never need any help or support from them?

Lastly, after you've helped and poured yourself out into everyone else, do you often end up at a point where you ask yourself, "Where is the Help for Me When I Need It?"

If you answered "Yes!" to one or more of the top four questions—you are not alone! Continue reading.

When we reach a point in our life where we need and want help, and there is no one there to help, we many times feel the emotions of hopelessness, helplessness, frustration, betrayal, or abandonment. Then, some people run away from the problems of others because they're dealing with their own. This is one of the bitter realities of life.

All of us - at one point or another - go through different problems or challenging situations. None of us are immune to life's trials or lessons. Yet, many people choose to go through life's trials and experiences alone, knowing they need some form of help or support to make it through. If anything, we regularly need mental support and encouragement to recognize our abilities to get stress and worry out of the way so we can bravely deal with the problem or issues in front of us.

Now, here is the 'Big Question,' how can you stay mentally strong, stress-free, and determined to face your problems and issues when you find yourself at a point where there is no one there to help you?

Here's how you can continue to develop into a better and mentally stronger YOU! Believe it or not, you've made courageous use of all five of these action steps in your life in the past. The very next time you find yourself needing help and you feel that there is no one there to help when you need it, follow these five actions steps without hesitation or self-doubt:

1. Move to a quiet place, reflect, and think positively on how you can make it through.
2. Believe in yourself.
3. Trust in God or a Higher Power.
4. Do not ignore, shrug off or push away those who have been there to help you.
5. Always remember to take care of yourself first; quit trying to save and take care of everyone else.

Let's review the importance of each step, one-by-one.

1. Move to a quiet place, reflect, and think positively on how you can make it through.

Initially, your situation or problem might feel like it's too difficult to manage. That's why I recommend you to move to a quiet place. A quite place will give you time in silence to think and reflect on the problem or issue at hand. Stay calm, and allow yourself to think and decide your next positive steps.

2. Believe in yourself.

Certainly, when you feel you need help, and no one is there to help you, it can seem challenging to believe in yourself. Know as your many emotional thoughts run rapidly through your mind, your self-trust and self-belief have gotten you through before! Whatever the situation is—be determined, know yourself, trust you, and keep going. Self-belief is something that enlightens the hidden abilities within and makes your path and thought process smoother towards finding your way through. Each day going forward, find added strength and courage by believing in yourself.

3. Believe in God / a Higher Power.

Believing in God is important for many reasons. Your faith and relationship with God can save you from reckless thinking when you feel that you’re alone and without help. Look, everything in the world happens for a reason. Believe in and trust in God as you think the situation through. He designed you with the ability to overcome your weakness, your challenges, and give you the strength to keep going and growing throughout life.

4. Do not ignore, shrug off, or push away those who have been there to help you.

I believe that no matter the problem, challenge, or issue—God sends someone to help us through it. He sends a good human. Good humans are those who never forget that you receive more in life by helping and serving others in need. Good humans sustain an attitude of gratitude because they remember when a good human helped them physically, emotionally, and financially through ups and downs. Accept the help and support sent to you; do not ignore or push away a caring and genuine good human when help arrives.

5. Always remember to take care of yourself first; quit trying to save and take care of everyone else while sacrificing yourself and health.

Amidst all the conditions and challenges you face daily, never forget that the most important thing to you should always be your health and well-being. You only get one of you. Make it your top priority each day to worry less, eat right, exercise, go for a walk, drink lots of water, read something positive, find reasons to laugh and smile, to be happy on more and more days each month.

*Seek and find a professional mental health counselor or therapist should you feel that your negative thoughts or mental health have grown out of control.

The above five action steps will help you to maintain a healthy and vibrant relationship with your mind, body, and spirit. They will also enhance your mental health, self-esteem, and confidence. Ultimately, when you practice all five action steps daily, you place yourself on the right path to loving and appreciating yourself more and more each day.
