Ty Howard
The importance of proper self-care is as essential as breathing quality oxygen daily. Of all the options we have to pamper and reward ourselves each day, to me proper self-care is the most important. Learning to develop, cleanse, feed, pamper, balance, reward, grow and ultimately love ourselves is a devout and paramount assignment we all should adhere to with great enjoyment.
Jack Kornfield, on page 28 of his Buddha's Little Instruction Book shared from the Buddha, "If your compassion does not include yourself, it's incomplete." We only receive one body, mind, heart, and soul; yet there are people today who take better care of a dog, cat, car, plant, or of everyone else than they do themselves. We all should do better each day to improve our self-care habits. Why? Proper self-care matters!
Proper self-care drives us to make and take the time to focus on and love ourselves. It requires us to schedule and visit our primary care doctor at least once each year for an overall health checkup, to include getting and checking necessary blood work. Proper self-care is the fuel that allows our light and purpose to shine brightly in the world. It's our healthy and vibrant example to the world that a quality life lives out from within us. The bottom line is this: Without consistent proper self-care habits, you choose to neglect and shave off life from the human being that is you.
There has never been a better time to learn more helpful information and receive quality motivation so we can intentionally take our proper self-care habits to the highest level possible. In this issue of MOTIVATION, we will help you to strengthen both your mind and actions so that you empower yourself to continually take better care of you. Why? YOU Matter and the ultimate reward of proper self-care is loving yourself, so you can extend your quality of life and give the world the best you.
Now, let's go forward to learn, develop, consistently practice, and improve our proper self-care habits daily.
